Information
The
Permanent Cultural Dialogue Authority, and the Journal of Arts and Media in the
Arab World, headed by its Secretary-General, the writer Dr. Abdel Karim
Baalbaki, in its first session 2022-2023 AD, awarded the Child Writing
Competition award to the Palestinian poet and writer Yasser Al-Waqqad for his
literary participation entitled "Rural Journey".
A
large number of writers and poets of different ages and Arab countries
participated in this competition. Their literary texts were diverse and
different, covering all ages of children, from the age of eight to sixteen.
It is
noteworthy that Yasser Al-Waqqad is a Palestinian poet from Gaza. He has many
collections of poetry, including "Saqiya Songs", "The Phoenix
Camps", "In the Summer of September", "Lemon Guns",
"Cactus Minarets", and "The Trilogy of Sulfur Gardens".
He
won the Kharet al-Dad Award at the level of the Arab countries in 2022 for his
prose text (Morning Coffee to Mother Language).
