The Palestinian writer, Nahil Nafez Al-Sharafi, launched her first novel, "Waiting", which is loaded with the pain of war, death, the suffering of the Palestinian people, and the unjust siege on the Gaza Strip.
The events of the novel revolve around Palestinian youths who succumb to the pressures of war, and fall victim to its ravages, and some of them lose their limbs in light of the scarcity of medical capabilities in the hospitals of the Strip.
It also sheds light on bloody migrations and death boats, after migration turned into an obsession that haunts young people, in search of a decent life or seeking knowledge and livelihood.
