The heart of the Palestinian child, Majd Abu Heikal, was filled with joy when her mother entered the house and bought her a set of colors, took out a piece of cloth from the closet, presented it to her, and then asked her to draw anything she wanted, so that those colors would make their way into the child’s heart and mind towards art.
Majd, a daughter of the village of Dura in the Hebron Governorate in the West Bank to the east, says: “I was at the age of six at the time, so I started drawing my school, my friends, the school fence, its trees, and the stairs, and I did not forget to carefully draw the fence of the settlement adjacent to my school, which has always disturbed the people of the city with their livelihood and stability. “Our journey to and from school has always been a hassle.”
