The writer and historian Ihsan Najib Agha Al-Nimr was born in the city of Nablus in 1905 and died in 1985.
He grew up in a conservative family known for its honesty and religiosity. He joined Al-Najah College in Nablus and the National College in Choueifat.
He was fond of military training. He studied arithmetic and social studies, and studied the Salafist renaissance and the foundations on which it was built in the Najd region in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He made great efforts to delve deeply into the study of the Holy Qur’an in terms of theory and application.
During his early years, he witnessed difficult stages of suffering, and was able to overcome them positively, as they contributed to refining his personality.
It is noteworthy that what Ihsan Al-Nimr was exposed to in his childhood did not weaken his personality, but rather he grew up with a strong nerve and an athletic body.
He was fond of climbing mountains, running, and playing ball. He practiced horse riding, swimming, and shooting, and was distinguished by his ability to speak.
His most prominent qualities were frankness, honesty, and humility, and his enemy was lying.
Ihsan al-Nimr participated in the 1929 revolution, which broke out in protest against Jewish immigration and British occupation, and in light of that, he was sentenced to three months in prison.
He founded the "Islamic Guidance" Society and opened its branches in the cities and villages of Palestine, and called for the establishment of the "Palestinian Arab Progress" Party.
Then he retired from politics in the wake of the decision to partition Palestine, and turned to composing poetry and writing articles that he published in many Palestinian newspapers.
He published many books, including:
