Hala Ahmed is a researcher, writer, and policy communications expert. She recently assumed the role of head of legislative affairs as vice president for policy at the Jane Family Institute, an applied social science research institute in New York City. Previously, Hala served as a policy fellow for Al-Shabaab in the United States and conducted strategic policy research for government agencies and NGOs in Greece, Albania, Germany, Palestine, and the United States. She earned her Master's degree in Public Policy from the University of Cambridge as a Harvard-Cambridge Scholar. Her writings have been featured in The New York Times, Fox, the Los Angeles Times, The Hill, USA Today, and other prominent media outlets.
