Information
Amin Malhas (1923-1983) was a prominent Palestinian storyteller and poet. Born in Jerusalem, he received his primary education in local schools and obtained a Palestinian diploma from Rashidiya College in 1940. He graduated from the Arab College in Jerusalem in 1942 and later earned a diploma in basic education from the International School of Basic Education in Sars al-Layan, Egypt, in 1954. The 1948 Nakba forced him to relocate to Iraq, and he subsequently moved between Jordan and Palestine.
In 1976, he was awarded the First Class Medal of Education by King Hussein of Jordan.

Malhas began his career as a teacher, working in various schools across Palestine, Iraq, and Jordan. Over his career, he held several significant positions, including:
Secretary General of the Jordanian National Commission for UNESCO.
Cultural Advisor to the Jordanian Broadcasting House (1966).
Head of the Educational Documentation and Publications Department at the Jordanian Education Council (1976).
Educational Consultant for the Saudi National Guard Development Project (1976).
Consultant and Expert at the Arab Organization for Administrative Sciences (1979).
Works
Malhas published three collections of short stories, radio plays, and theatrical plays. His notable works include:
Inspired by Reality (Jerusalem, 1951).
Abu Mustafa and Other Stories (1973).
Tales (1983), published posthumously by the Jordanian Writers Association on the fortieth anniversary of his death.
He also directed the radio series Al-Shater Ali Al-Zaybak and several other series broadcast on Al-Quds Radio in Palestine and Amman Radio in Jordan.
