Born in Jerusalem in 1893; graduated with a degree in engineer in 1914, from a Polytechnic Institute in England; taught in the Victoria College, Alexandria in 1918; in 1923, appointed as engineer in the Islamic Waqf department in Jerusalem; participated in the renovation of the Mosque of the Dome of the Rock, al-Haram al-Ibrahimi in Hebron, and Nabi Samuel Mosque.
