A Palestinian poet and singer, who was born in Jenin Refugee Camp 1957 to a family from the District of Haifa; studied in Jenin and then he continued his education in Iraq where he studied History at the University of Baghdad; he has received the Honorary degree in the Popular Heritage from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Culture Organization (UNESCO) in 2000.
