Salwa was born in Jenin in 1945, received a BA in Psychology from the University of California; studied Philosophy and Sociology for three years in Beirut Arab University. Salwa has worked as a teacher for ten years; one year at the UNESCO; 15 years as a TV presenter and anchor of the Radio and Television Corporation, worked at Al-Shaab Newspaper and many other Arabic-American newspapers in Los Angeles.
