Born in Haifa 1937, finished his primary education in Jaffa, secondary school in Haifa.
Started to work as a journalist of Al-Fajr magazine, established a publishing center in 1961, was arrested several times by the Israeli authorities. Worked as an accountant in 1964; became the head editor of (Hatha al-Alam) magazine in 1967.
