Albert Kittaneh (born in 1949 in Jerusalem , Palestine ) is a Bahraini businessman of Palestinian origin .
Growing up and education [ edit ]
He was born in Jerusalem, Palestine, in 1949.
He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Fordham University and a master's degree from Columbia University .
Professional career [ edit ]
He has experience in commercial and investment banking with the Bank of New York, Hanover Manufacturers Trust and Chemical Bank. He joined BMB Investments as CEO in 1993 in Bahrain for a period of 25 years. [1]
He was Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of SICO Bank and a member of ORIX Capital International in Saudi Arabia and MAC Holding in Lebanon.
On November 29, 2008, BMB Investment Bank announced his resignation, effective February 15. The reason for his resignation from the bank was his desire to devote himself to his own business, and Kataneh expressed his agreement to continue his service to the bank as an advisor until the end of the year 2009. [2] Chairman of the Board of Directors, Wilson Benjamin, said : Commenting on Kettaneh’s resignation: “The bank’s Board of Directors expresses its appreciation to Kettaneh for his performance during his term as CEO of the bank.” [3] For his part, Kataneh said: “I had the honor of assuming the leadership of the bank for a period of 16 years full of experiences and giving. The bank, thank God, stands on a solid foundation, and I wish it every success and success.”
In 2009, he founded his own company, Evolution Investments, based in Bahrain. [4] He was also appointed as an advisor to the managing director of Coral Qatar Real Estate Development Company since 2011. [5]
